Who I Am

Lyme is not the only aspect of my personality! Here’s a little more about me.

Lyme is only one facet of my identity. I do have a life outside of it! I grew up in Sacramento, California but I attend college at the University of Oregon, in Eugene. I am 20 years old. I’m a junior English Literature major and I’m minoring in Music and Writing. I also have a leadership position in three different clubs on campus. I am the president of the AccessABILITY Student Union (AASU), the secretary of the Multi-Ethnic Student Alliance (MESA), and the resource manager in the Multicultural Center (MCC). After I graduate from college, I intend on entering the field of editing and publishing to help writers in companies polish their works and documents. I love to read, learn, and explore new things. I have an awesome family who is very supportive of me and friends who will always be there for me. I’m a strong believer in social justice and I enjoy grassroots organizing. I also play the flute, but because of my joint pain, I am taking a short vacation from it. I like to laugh, create, connect, and feel.
